Dubai: The UAE playing host to events, exhibitions and conferences has helped multiple sectors and businesses operating within them – count emergency support service providers among them.
“We’re proud of our ongoing ability to innovate effective ways to provide medical services, placing the latest technology in the hands of expert EMT and paramedics teams,” said Major Tom Louis, CEO of Abu Dhabi based Response Plus Holding, which operates the Response Plus Medical unit. “And promising premium medical coverage for prestigious international sporting events, not only in the UAE, but also in Saudi Arabia, Qatar and other GCC countries.”
Recently, RPM struck a collaboration with Etisalat by e&, giving the company access to the main features of the 5G network. This allows RPM real-time transmission of patients’ vital data, from the vehicle directly to the command centre or hospital, allowing doctors to connect with first responders.
Among the top events RPM covered in the past month was the Saudi Fan Zone & Pavilion at FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar. RPM also offered medical services during the UAE vs Argentina friendly held at Mohammad Bin Zayed Stadium, in collaboration with Burjeel Abu Dhabi, whereby six ambulances, eight nurses and 12 emergency medical technicians were deployed on-site.
“In just one month, RPM was entrusted with 10 world-class events in the region, demonstrating unmatched capabilities, whether in terms of manpower, technology, fleet or coordination,” said Louis.
RPM’s vehicles can locate patients who need immediate care in critical moments. Additionally, Saudi RPM ambulances have been equipped with Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) to prioritize and record incident calls, identify the status and location of responders in the field, and effectively dispatch responder personnel.
RPM’s major events in the year include Asia Cup 2022, Formula One Saudi Arabian Grand Prix 2022, IMMAF World Championships 2022, UAM Muay Thai World Championships 2022, UAE Tour 2022, and Saudi Tour 2022.
